Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale, a Nigerian American pro basketball player who plays for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. She played college basketball for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, after which she was drafted by the Wings as the 5th overall selection of the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale is Milwaukee Wisconsin native born to Yolanda Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale, who is 26 years old, is her brother, and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years old. Since she was the eldest of her siblings, her parents treated her to the best treatment. Her father Gregory was a soldier in the Nigerian Army for quite some time. Ogunbowale hails from a dynamic family. The brother Dare is a football player as is her mom Yolanda was a softball player at DePaul. Her aunt Endia Oliver was a Volleyball player at Tennessee State and her niece was a former volleyball player with UAPB. Her name was listed on the honour roll of her school three straight seasons. In addition to her fame, she has won numerous honors from her studies. Arike finished her schooling through Divine Savior Holy Angels High School situated in her home town. She also played three years of varsity football while she studied at the school. Ogunbowale steered her school to stunning victories with her exceptional skills multiple times. In her high school career she's scored 73 career begins and 1,477 total points. In addition, she has 739 rebounds. Ogunbowale was a participant in the 2013 the FIBA Americas U16 Championships 2014 World Championships of FIBA U17 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships where she won Gold Medals. On 7 July 2014, Ogunbowale was selected to the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also named on the ACC All-Freshman Team after her debut collegiate season.
